| Customer Reviews:
This is NOT dog food September 2, 2010 Sally Whitney (SAN FRANCISCO, CA, US) This stuff can hardly be called dog food. Dogs eat real meat not protein substitues that dogs aren't equipped to process. I see no reason for food of this type except for those choosing to change nature to their own uses. Vegan might work for people but it certainly is not anything a dog should be eating for proper health. I can see it if a dog has unique health challenges, like allergies to ALL meat sources. I would like to say that doesn't happen very often so making a non meat food for a dog is pretty ridicuous. I also dislike any soy products for dogs as it is not always well tolerated by the digestive system. Another thing I dislike is people who are vegan that seem to think a dog owned by them should eat as they do. I say get over it. Your dog deserves to eat what it was created to eat - MEAT!! The Humane Society has created this food for all the wrong reasons and it shows how ignorant they really are. I also don't care for how the Humane Society doesn't explain where all of the money that is made off this junk goes to. I would not recommend this food for any dog unless absolutely necessary for a real reason. Even then I would look far and wide to find a much healthier alternative. Just because items are "organic" doesn't make up for the loss of real meat.
