ok but not great July 23, 2010 Eclectic Reader I like that the food is organic and the pellets are quite convenient, BUT my cats don't like this as much as Feline's pride cat food which is what I usually fed my one cat. He LOVES food but turned his nose up at this. Even my new cat who never had Feline's pride before prefers that to this but is more tolerant of this food than the cat who was eating only Feline's pride for 6+ months. It also doesn't smell that good (compared to other raw food I feed). I have to mix it in very well with other food otherwise the cats will eat around it. The other concern I have is that it doesn't have any supplemental Taurine (an essential amino acid for cats) added which most cat foods do. I would be concerned about feeding it as the only food source to cats without adding some Taurine. I doubt I'll order this again. It is better, though, than Primal Raw (Chicken & Salmon)... but marginally. Too bad, because those pellets make feeding the cats so much easier than partially defrosting big tubs of frozen food and trying to carve out portions. ... *sigh* A couple of pellets are defrosted quickly by morning and if I didn't have to mix in other food, I wouldn't need to weigh my cats food either. (The weights do vary from 0.5 to 0.65 ounces. :) ) I think, though, that the pellets probably make the food less fresh since a greater proportion of the food is oxidized from air exposure.
Paw Naturaw Organic Cat Food April 16, 2010 Holly S. Wise (Rocky Mount, VA) This is one of the best products we have ever seen for the price. Our animals loved it and the ingredients are top of the line for prepackaged raw food. It is in an easy to manage form for any size animal. We will definitely order this again.
Life saver! March 4, 2010 H. Studley (Washington, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our persian kitten (6 months) was having the worst time digesting any type of food. His stools were consistently runny and worst of all he would go on the couch or even worse, our bed. We all know that when cats go on your bed or couch that they are sending you a message..."something is very wrong!" He didn't eat very much when we fed him either. Just a few bites and then would walk away. We tried every kind of pure, no grain, all meat cat food available. We tried probiotics. We had him checked for every parasite known to cats. We were hesitant to start the raw food diet because 1) his vet had concerns and 2) I thought it would be very cumbersome. After reading so many articles and trying to figure out how I could help my kitten, I decided to give the Raw food diet a try. This particular raw food comes prepared in small pellets which make storing and defrosting a breeze. Each evening I place daily portions in a container and place in the refrigerator. By morning they are defrosted and ready to serve. If they are a bit frozen you can place them in a ziplock in some warm water and they will soften right up. It was love at first sight for our kitty. I had never seen him eat so much in so little time. The best part was that it immediately hardened up his stools. No more mess on my couch or bed. He has now been on the diet for 2 months and not a single incident of wet stools and he is full of life. We have tried other varieties such as the beef and turkey and he likes those too. As I said in the title. This food was a life saver!

I adopted a retired greyhound racer a few years ago. No matter which dog food I tried her upset stomach came back. In desparation I went the organic holistic route. A few month ago I started her on Paw Naturaw which I found over the internet. The food arrived, every time I ordered, well packed in ice. My beautiful hound with her delicate stomach is thriving on her new diet. We haven't had an upset stomach since. Thanks PAW. Tara and Ursula
